Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Notice
Last updated: 18 August 2026
PipeButler operates this website. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal data when you browse the site or make an enquiry.
1. Data we collect
When you use the enquiry form, your name and phone number are required. District, service and problem description are voluntary. Without the required data, we cannot identify or follow up your enquiry through the form.
If you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we also receive the contact details and message content you choose to provide. Website servers and measurement tools may process an IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring source, timestamps and performance data.
2. Why we use the data
- to respond, confirm coverage and availability, and arrange a call-out if you agree;
- to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and enquiry process;
- to measure aggregate website use and performance; and
- to comply with law, handle disputes and protect legitimate rights.
We do not use data from a service enquiry for direct marketing merely because you contacted us. If we later propose direct marketing, we will obtain any required consent separately and provide an opt-out.
3. Service providers and disclosure
We give service providers access only as needed for the purposes above. Current providers include Vercel for website hosting and performance services; when the online enquiry form is enabled, they also include Resend for enquiry-email delivery. Some providers may process data outside Hong Kong under their service terms, privacy policies and our configuration.
The site uses Vercel Speed Insights for aggregate performance measurement. If Vercel Web Analytics is separately enabled, the site also collects privacy-friendly aggregate usage data. If GA4 is configured, Google Analytics is loaded and, depending on its configuration, Google may process device, browsing, referral, approximate-location and identifier data. You can restrict cookies or tracking through browser settings, although this may affect some functions or measurement.
WhatsApp is a third-party communications service. If you choose it, your data is also governed by WhatsApp's terms and privacy policy. We do not sell personal data, but may disclose it where required by law, to protect safety, or to enforce legal rights.
4. Retention and security
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the collection purpose, maintain enquiry or service records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. Copies in backups, security logs and provider systems may be removed later through normal rotation cycles.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards proportionate to the data, but no online transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information through the enquiry form.
5. Access, correction and contact
You may request access to or correction of personal data we hold, or ask a question about this policy. To protect privacy, we may first verify your identity and the data covered by the request.

6. Third-party links and changes
This site may link to third-party websites, whose data practices are governed by their own policies. We may update this policy as services, providers or legal requirements change and will show the updated date on this page.
